Daily Greens

The team at Flourish, has formulated the ‘greens’ blend to maximise the antioxidant benefit obtained from all the wonderful fruits and vegetables contained therein.  Research suggests that when you combine antioxidants from one vegetable with those from a different vegetable the effect is compounded.

Mother nature likes to work as an orchestra, not as a single instrument.  Hence, there are 14 different ingredients within this blend, formulated to maximise the daily greens blend’s capabilities.

As the body turns food into energy it creates waste products.  These waste products are called free radicals.  They can build up and cause cellular dysfunction, destruction, and tissue damage and this is called oxidative stress.  In a nutshell, free radicals cause body aging.

Free radicals are also formed after you exercise, and when you are exposed to environmental pollutants and sunlight.

A free radical is a molecule that does not have a balanced set of electrons.  Free radicals naturally seek to achieve electron balance and to do this they steal electrons from other molecules thereby causing dysfunction, damage, and destruction.   Antioxidants are the good Samaritans of the body, travelling around donating electrons to free radicals to neutralise them.

This blend is full of phytochemicals such as sulforaphane, which mobilises the body’s natural protection capabilities and protects against body degeneration.

This blend is a nutrient bomb for your antioxidant system.

The body has its own antioxidant system to help fight the free radicals, however more is needed daily, and you do this by extracting antioxidants from the food you eat, namely fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, and legumes.

 

Research shows, that eating antioxidants as part of a whole food diet far outweighs taking antioxidants as a single supplement.  In fact, there is research that says that taking large quantities of an antioxidant outside of a whole food may cause more harm than good.

At Flourish we believe in “whole food” as medicine, not reductionist single nutrients, which is NOT how mother nature designed food or us.  If you eat whole foods as provided by mother nature, you get all the good nutrients, plus the protective nature of other compounds found within that single piece of food.  This is how it should be.

1 serve = 1 cup green leafy vegetables = 1 scoop

Mix 1 serve of Daily Greens with a liquid of your choice. Approximately 150 to 300ml of cool to warm water is preferred, but you can add it to fruit juice, coconut water, almond milk, rice milk, yoghurt or any other liquid.

Can I take this product with any of your other products?
Yes, all of our products will work fine with each other.
No, all of our products are stand alone.
Yes, our greens blend is fructose friendly.
You can mix any of our blends with ANY liquid you like. Water is the recommendation, however, juices, smoothies, milks, shakes, etc even yoghurt are all fine.
